3 Types of Solar Power System
Solar electricity will fulfil your electricity needs during teh day and the rest will be covered by PLN. any excess production of electricity by your system will be sold to PLN using a system called Net Metering
Function : To reduce monthly electricity bill and more energy savings
Advantage : Fastest return on investment of the three system
Disadvantage : On-Grid SPS will not work it threre is a blackout
Batteries are need to store the electricity produced by the SPS during the day so the electricity can be used at night or any other time
Function : For energy independence and remote areas where electricity is difficult to attain
Advantage : System is self-reliant and can be installed in remote locations not supported by PLN. A cleaner and quieter alternative to henerators
Disadvantage : High initial investment compared to On-Grid SPS but will pay off relatively fast since there is no PLN of fuel transport fees.
You can store electricity in batteries and also have the capacity to buy/sell electricity to PLN
Function : To prevent blacouts especially for high electricity usage buildings : hotels, resorts, homes, offices, retails, and factories
Advantage : Never have to worry about blackouts ever again.
Disadvantage : Higher initial investment compared to the other two system, but you will never worry about power outages.

EXIM (Export-Import) Meter
EXIM meter records electricity flows between your house and PLN
Export : PLN will purchase the extra electricity the system produces, and you will earn electricity credits that can be used to reduce yout bills.
Import : PLN will supply your electricity needs when your system does not fulfill all your electricity needs.

- Submit an EXIM Meter request to your PLN branch
- The EXIM meter will replace your current PLN meter
- You can start enjoying the benefits of Net Metering!

Pricing for Net Metering :
- PLN will pay 65% of the price of excess electricity you import
- Payment is in the form of electricity credits
- Export-Import will be calculated end of each month billing cycle
- Electricity credits can be accumulated and used within 3 month billing cycles :

- April - June
- October - Desember
